Mazda RX-7 FC Instrument Cluster Repair Service
Having problems with the instrument cluster in your 1986–1991 Mazda RX-7 FC? Gee Spec Automotive offers component-level repair and restoration services for original FC instrument cluster electronics.
These clusters are now several decades old, and failures can develop from aging electronic components, deteriorated solder joints, circuit-board issues, and other electrical faults. Rather than replacing the entire cluster with another used unit of unknown condition, we repair and test the original components whenever possible.
Each unit is individually inspected, diagnosed, repaired, and bench tested before being returned. Our bench-testing equipment allows us to simulate vehicle signals and verify gauge operation outside of the vehicle, helping ensure the repaired unit is functioning properly before it leaves our shop.
Available Repairs
Use the service selection menu above to choose the instrument or cluster component you are sending in for repair.
Services may include tachometer, speedometer, gauge, and other instrument-cluster repairs as they become available.
Repairs can include component replacement, solder-joint repair, circuit-level troubleshooting, calibration, and functional bench testing depending on the selected service and failure.
Units with severe corrosion, physical or circuit-board damage, or previous unsuccessful repair attempts may require additional work. If we find damage outside the scope of the selected service, we'll contact you before performing any additional repairs.
Keep Your Original FC Cluster
Original FC electronics are becoming harder to replace with known-good parts. Our goal is to repair the original unit rather than simply replace it with another 35+ year-old part.
Repair it. Test it. Keep the original.
